Old Steam Engine

Steam engine was owned by the paper mill which was Odell Manufacturing Company which was owned by W. N. Merrow of Groveton. The two engineers who used to run the train were Leon McMann and Donald Pike also of Groveton. I hasn't been in use since the mid 1960's. The fuel used was coal. It was used at the mill as a switch engine. It is presently maintained my Wausau Mills and Groveton Paper Board. The Boy Scouts "dress it up" every Christmas and keep it clean.
