In the fall of 1998 a gas pipeline was run through the area with some sections having to go under route 3 in Groveton. The pictures below show the crew and equipment at work. The first drill under the road with a small drill, the ream out the hole. As per normal for any project, Murphy's Law ruled, and the road here was undermined. They had to fix it an d drill another hole.
