There's an interesting story behind 4 Foot Fred... Scroll down to read it.
The fellow standing to the right of Four Foot Fred is Harry Haynes Jr, one of the sculptors
of Fred. His grandfather was Ferdinand Marois, who was given the nickname 4 Foot Fred because he could cut four
cords of wood with an axe and a bucksaw in a day.
